Our story
Financial Health Pathways (FHP) began as the Financial Literacy Coalition of Central Texas in 2004. With the hiring of their first Executive Director in 2018, the organization embarked on a new strategic direction that would focus on systemic change by adding advocacy and asset building programs to their operations. FHP’s success finding new applications of financial education such as the criminal justice system and its influential advocacy efforts moved them to ask themselves, Is financial literacy all we do? The community's answer gave the organization a new purpose and Financial Health Pathways was born. Under their new identity FHP would work not only influencing the individuals, but also the environment they live in and building pathways to Financial Health. Today the FHP is an award winning impactful organization that is expanding its footprint through the state of Texas.
